WeighSync is a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) scale reader application sponsored by BizAutom. This Privacy Policy explains how WeighSync accesses, uses, stores, and handles information when you use the application.

1. Information We Collect

WeighSync does not require users to create an account, sign in, or provide personal information such as a name, email address, phone number, or password.

The application does not operate a remote backend service for storing user information.

WeighSync may access information necessary to provide its Bluetooth scale functionality, including:

• Nearby Bluetooth Low Energy devices
• Bluetooth device name and device identifier
• Weight measurements received from a connected BLE scale
• Date and time associated with saved weight readings
• Application settings such as theme preferences

2. Bluetooth Access

WeighSync uses Bluetooth Low Energy to discover, connect to, and communicate with compatible weighing scales.

Depending on your Android version, the application may request permissions including:

• Bluetooth Scan
• Bluetooth Connect
• Bluetooth
• Bluetooth Admin

These permissions are used only to discover and communicate with compatible Bluetooth scale devices.

WeighSync does not use Bluetooth scanning for advertising, tracking, or profiling users.

3. Location Permission

Some Android versions require location permission to perform Bluetooth Low Energy device scanning.

WeighSync may therefore request location permission when required by the Android operating system.

The location permission is used only to enable Bluetooth device discovery.

WeighSync does not use location information to track users, create location histories, provide location-based advertising, or transmit a user's physical location to BizAutom servers.

4. Weight Measurements

Weight measurements are received directly from the Bluetooth scale connected to the user's device.

Users may choose to save weight readings within the application.

Saved readings may include:

• Weight value
• Measurement unit
• Bluetooth device information
• Date and time of the reading

These readings are stored locally on the user's device.

WeighSync does not upload saved weight measurements to a remote BizAutom server.

5. Local Data Storage

WeighSync uses local application storage to save information such as:

• Saved weight readings
• Connected-device related information
• Application preferences
• Theme settings

This information remains on the user's device unless the operating system, device backup functionality, or another user-controlled service handles application data separately.

Users can delete saved readings from within the WeighSync application.

Uninstalling the application may also remove locally stored application data, subject to Android operating-system behavior and device backup settings.

6. Data Sharing

WeighSync does not sell user information.

WeighSync does not intentionally share weight readings, Bluetooth device information, or application usage information with advertisers or data brokers.

The application is not designed to transmit locally saved weight measurements to BizAutom.

7. Advertising

WeighSync does not contain third-party advertising.

WeighSync does not use user information for targeted advertising.

8. User Accounts

WeighSync does not provide user registration or authentication.

Users do not need to create an account to use the application.

Because WeighSync does not create or maintain user accounts, there is no online user account requiring account deletion.

9. Children's Privacy

WeighSync is a general-purpose Bluetooth scale utility and is not specifically designed or directed toward children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the application.

10. Security

WeighSync is designed to minimize collection and transmission of user information.

Information saved by the application is stored locally using application storage provided through the mobile operating system and application framework.

Users should maintain appropriate security protections on their mobile device.

11. Third-Party Technologies

WeighSync is developed using technologies including Ionic, Angular, Capacitor, and Bluetooth Low Energy plugins.

The application may rely on operating-system services and third-party software components required to provide Bluetooth connectivity and application functionality.

These components may be subject to their respective privacy practices.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if WeighSync functionality, permissions, data handling practices, or legal requirements change.

Any updated Privacy Policy will be published at this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
